AUSTRALIAN BIRDS - Emu

The Emu, is the  Australian equivalent of the ostrich.   An adult emu weighs 35-40 kg (80-90 pounds) and is a flightless, long-legged, long-necked bird, the female reaching 2 m (6.5 feet) high.

The smaller male incubates the eggs and cares for the chicks.
